Powers/Weapons: Macau has no super human powers for the most part, but since he is a nation his motility is tied to his country/people/economy/etc. He heals quickly from physical wounds for the most part and cannot die.

Macau is neither east or west, but a complicated fusion brought on by him once being a port city and major trading center. Macau's influence comes from all over, leading to a unique culture of the Macanese people that has led to the mixture of Portuguese, Chinese, and various South East Asian influences in one region. Macau is unlike any other region in China, and the people of Macau, specifically the Macanese are unlike any of the other ethnic groups in China. This heavily impacts Macau's personality, ideology, and state of mind. Since becoming a part of China once again, China's influence affects him strongly, but his roots with Portugal remain ingrained deeply. The Macanese people and culture is still changing until this day, and so Macau himself is going through change.
He has had strong ties with Portugal for many years, and he still remains friendly with his former colonizer even thought he is now a part of China.* He is friendly to China as well, showing a respectful, polite attitude towards the elder nation. He can even engage in friendly conversations with Portugal and China, and time to time he jokes around with them. He has an easygoing personality when it comes to social and economic policies in his country. This doesn't mean he doesn't work hard nor is he lazy, though. He is very experienced with business ever since he was little due to his roots as a port city and with his time spent with both Portugal and China.

His calm demeanor and interest in being philosophical also tie into his approach to governing and business too. This approach has lead to a thriving economy strongly based in gambling and casinos. While himself is not greedy, he does profit off those who give into the vice of gambling. The people who gamble in Macau are usually not the locals, but instead from mainland China and Hong Kong. Gambling is more of a recent development, and it is one he has learned to accept after the spice trade and colonial era passed. He also makes sure to to wear smart looking business attire, especially when he has business to attend to or when he's in a casino. He is now known as the gambling capital of the world, making around five times the amount Las Vegas does, but he is humble about the title. With gambling and a service based economy comes great food and other places to indulge and have fun in. He does export goods such as porcelain, ceramics, textiles, and toys, too.
He is friendly with Hong Kong as well, having a brother like relationship and amiable rivalry of sorts . Their rivalry, at least on Macau's side, is not ill intentioned or competitive, but instead he hopes Hong Kong prospers well and grows up well as Macau grows up himself. He watches how both Hong Kong and himself are changing and adapting to become an economic power all the while rejoining China. The other nation he is seen with is Taiwan, and he has good relations with her. He treats Taiwan with respect, but has to be cautious due to China's grievances with her. He still is kind to her, and the three of them (Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau) talking and hanging occurs more often than one would think.
To outsiders and visitors, Macau comes off as hospitable and luxurious… if the price is right and one keeps spending money. He likes catering to those who are superstitious, often using symbols and good luck charms in casinos related areas. Even if the casinos make Macau efficient, fast, he still has a sense of being down to earth and relaxing unlike Hong Kong.
This side is often seen outside of work. He's a type to enjoy tea and pastries as he catches up on news or possibly talks business with visitors. While a lot of his daily life and relationships relate to business, he can still put that aside. He knows how to enjoy himself and how to have others have a good time. He always provides the best of the best when it comes to visitors. If he likes you, his good humor will be present. If he doesn't like you, well, he'll probably hold his tongue because, well, you have to serve some sort of financial purpose, right? Most of the time people rarely rub him wrong, though, as he is tolerant to a lot of different personalities. He'll at least humor you and smile when needed. Overall, his politeness, respectfulness, good temperament, and welcoming nature stand out to those who meet him.
Macau is adaptable, always finding a way to be prosperous. He confronts issues logically, thoughtfully, and does not rush into things. Most of the time he uses diplomacy and bargaining to get what he wants. While gambling is seen as debauchery and even trickery, Macau himself has much older, deeper roots than such. He is humble, having had good times come and go in the past. That doesn't mean he'll shy away from gambling related enterprises, as once he finds something he is good at, he will work hard and focus on it.
